Grant & Stone Building Supplies has supported construction projects across the Southeast, with customer service firmly at the forefront. We’re now looking for a reliable Yard Operative to join our team at our Grant & Stone Pinner Branch.

The Role

We are looking for a Yard Operative to support the safe and efficient running of our builders’ merchant yard. This is a hands-on, outdoor role involving heavy building materials and direct customer interaction.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Load and unload building materials and timber
  • Pick and prepare customer orders
  • Assist customers collecting goods from the yard
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard area
  • Operate forklift trucks (if trained)
  • Follow all health and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Yard or builders’ merchant experience (desirable)
  • Sales or product knowledge is a bonus

Working Hours

Week 1: Monday – Friday 07:00–17:00
Week 2: Monday – Friday 07:00–17:00
Saturday 08:00 – 12:00
