The Role
To manage and grow the showroom area of the builders merchants SPS Lewes by providing excellent customer service, driving sales, and ensuring the showroom is well-maintained and presented to the highest standards. You will lead the showroom team, engage with trade and retail customers, and promote kitchen, bathroom, and interior products.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the showroom
- Greet customers and provide expert advice on product ranges (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, tiles, flooring)
- Work with trade professionals, architects, and retail clients to understand needs and suggest solutions
- Design and present layouts using CAD or design software (if applicable)
- Manage customer quotations, orders, and follow-ups
- Drive sales performance and meet or exceed targets
- Train, support, and lead showroom staff
- Maintain showroom appearance and merchandising to reflect current trends and promotions
- Coordinate with suppliers and the warehouse to ensure product availability
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records and report on showroom activity and performance
The Requirements
- Proven experience in showroom sales, ideally in builders merchants or related industries (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, interiors)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and sales focus
- Team leadership or supervisory experience
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Product knowledge in construction/interiors (tiles, bathrooms, joinery, etc.)
- Experience using POS and CRM systems
- Knowledge of CAD or design software is a plus
- Full Driving Licence

Week:1 Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
Week:2 Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 Saturday 08:00--12:00
