We’re now looking for a reliable and customer‑focused Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join our team at our High Wycombe branch.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serving trade and retail customers at the counter
  • Processing customer orders and enquiries face‑to‑face and over the phone
  • Recommending products and solutions to meet customer needs
  • Building strong relationships with existing customers and identifying new sales opportunities
  • Resolving customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Maintaining strong product and technical knowledge
  • Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Supporting the branch with general day‑to‑day tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • Trade counter or plumbing merchant experience
  • DIY, builders’ merchant, or trade background (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good industry and product knowledge
  • Confident communication and customer service skills
  • Basic numeracy skills (addition & subtraction)
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work with minimal supervision
  • Friendly, approachable, and a strong team player
  • Willingness to undertake training and develop in the role

Working Hours

Week 1: Monday–Friday 07:30-17:15
Week 2: Monday–Friday 07:30-17:15
Saturday 08:00–12:00
