The Role
As Branch Manager, you’ll have full responsibility for the performance of the Eastbourne branch—driving sales, profitability, customer relationships, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing branch team
- Drive sales growth, margin, and market share within the local area
- Build strong relationships with plumbing & heating trade customers
- Identify and win new business opportunities
- Manage key customer accounts and support their ongoing growth
- Control branch performance including sales, margin, stock, and costs
- Deliver an outstanding level of customer service and product knowledge
- Maintain high operational standards and stock availability
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies
- Develop and support team members to reach their full potential
- Create a positive, customer-focused and results-driven branch culture
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Management or supervisory experience within a plumbing merchant, builders merchant, or trade environment
- Strong track record of sales growth and customer relationship development
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Commercial awareness (margin, profitability, branch performance)
- A hands-on, proactive approach
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ambition to grow both the branch and your career
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a successful team
⏰ Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 07:30 – 17:00
- alternate Saturdays 08:00-12:00
