The Role
We are looking for a dependable Credit Controller to join our team in Polegate Head Office, supporting multiple branches.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring effective credit control and helping us continue delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and allocate:
- Set up new customer accounts and assign credit limits in line with risk policies
- Review credit reports and assess customer risk
- Chase overdue payments and manage delinquent accounts
- Arrange payment plans where appropriate
Work closely with:
- Branch teams
- Sales teams
- Customers
- Debt collection agencies
- Support improvements to credit control processes and policies
- Assist with audits, projects, and acquisition integrations
- Payments
- Credit notes
- Refunds
What We’re Looking For
- ✅ Previous Credit Control experience (2+ years desirable)
- ✅ Strong communication and negotiation skills
- ✅ Ability to manage workload and priorities
- ✅ Attention to detail and accuracy
- ✅ Confidence working with multiple stakeholders
