We are looking for an experienced Transport / Yard Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day running of our yard and delivery operations. You’ll lead a team of drivers and yard staff, ensure safe and efficient operations, and help deliver excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all yard operations (goods in/out, stock rotation, housekeeping)
  • Schedule and oversee deliveries to ensure on‑time, efficient service
  • Supervise, motivate, and support drivers and yard staff
  • Ensure high standards of health & safety at all times
  • Maintain vehicle compliance (servicing, inspections, legal checks)
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
  • Ensure branch operations follow company policies and procedures
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a builders merchant or construction supply environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of transport legislation and vehicle compliance
  • Forklift licence (desirable, not essential)
Working Hours
  • Week 1: Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 17:00
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 17:00, Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00
