Your role and responsibilities:
As a Quality Engineer with expertise in Automation, you will be a skilled professional who streamlines testing processes through automation, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery. You will have specialist skills in creating and maintaining automated testing solutions for IT systems and applications. You will possess in‑depth knowledge of various test automation tools and technologies and use them to build optimised test scenarios, develop automation for executing tests, and manage test data and environment‑related automation. This role requires understanding and integrating testing automation into overall delivery automation, aligning with contemporary trends such as Agile, DevOps and Containers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon, Cucumber, etc.
- Design and create test data and test environments
- Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead and identify errors and validate successes for any software solution
- Identify, understand, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications
- Do a deep‑dive and present test results to clients and project teams clearly
Required education: None
Preferred education: Bachelor’s Degree
Required technical and professional expertise:
- Strong Java DevOps infrastructure experience
- Experience of writing test automation scripts
- Model office testing, experience in performing end‑to‑end testing and UAT testing, business testing.
- Experience with automation builds for the testing of IT systems and applications.
- Highly experienced in multiple test automation tools and technologies and use these to build and maintain automation solutions to test applications and IT systems across the levels of testing.
- Understands testing requirements, builds optimised test scenarios, develops automation to execute test along with test data and environment related automation, executes automated testing and achieves test outcome.
- Has understanding to all the contemporary technology trends: Agile, DevOps, Containers and has the ability to integrate testing automation into overall delivery automation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional team members to implement test automation best practices
- Log track and report defects using issue‑tracking tools ensuring clear communication with developers.
- Re‑test software after bug fixes to verify successful resolution and ensure no regression.
- Ensure the software meets quality standards and functional requirements before release.
