Your role and responsibilities
The Senior Oracle Cloud Payroll Support Consultant is responsible for delivering incident management, problem resolution, and enhancement/change activities for multiple Managed Services customers. Working closely with the Application Support Manager and Delivery Team, the role ensures high‑quality support, strong customer relationships, and effective service delivery.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and problem investigations for customers.
- Deliver enhancements in line with the internal Change Management process.
- Participate in an on‑call rota for major incidents during some weekends and Bank Holidays.
- Perform root cause analysis, apply fixes, and manage issues through to full resolution.
- Mentor team members to support their development in Oracle Cloud (Fusion).
- Manage customer expectations throughout the lifecycle of issues and changes.
- Work directly with customers to identify, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Support the design of technical solutions and ensure the use of best‑practice tools, methods, and templates.
- Oversee and manage Oracle Service Requests (SRs), ensuring progress is monitored and escalated when needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Proactively identify system enhancements and provide process workaround recommendations.
- Fully document all developed solutions.
- Support customers through testing phases.
- Keep up to date with Oracle Payroll roadmap developments, new features, and system releases.
- Attend internal and external meetings and complete agreed actions in a timely manner.

- Strong knowledge across Oracle HCM modules with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Payroll.
- Confident in updating fast formulas.
- Competent in building new elements within Oracle Fusion.
