In this role, you will support the design, development and maintenance of solutions built on Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages and Dataverse. Your work will contribute to improving operational efficiency and delivering scalable digital services for public sector clients. Working alongside senior developers and solution architects, you will help create low‑code and no‑code applications, automate business processes and enhance user experiences across a range of government‑facing services. You will also support the development of conversational AI capabilities using Power Virtual Agents and Copilot, and assist in integrating solutions with APIs, enterprise systems and data sources. A strong focus on quality, security and performance will be essential. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise, contribute to digital transformation initiatives and build solutions that have a meaningful impact on public sector organisations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and developing applications using PowerApps, Power Automate and Power Pages.
  • Support the configuration and use of Dataverse, including data modelling and integration with external systems.
  • Contribute to workflow automation and process optimisation using Power Platform tools.
  • Participate in application testing, debugging and ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Produce clear documentation and contribute to Agile ceremonies within a multi‑disciplinary delivery team.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Basic understanding of Power Platform tools and their capabilities.
  • Experience with frameworks and libraries (e.g. .NET, Spring Boot, React, Angular).
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable and testable code.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Hands‑on experience with version control (e.g. Git).
  • Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of API development and integration.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Exposure to Git or other version control systems.
  • Basic knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases.
  • Interest in Power Virtual Agents or Copilot AI tools.
  • Experience with web development frameworks such as React or Angular.
