In this role, you\’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Senior Application Database Administrator-NoSQL / Cloud Databases, you\’ll leverage your extensive technical expertise and leadership skills to drive innovation and excellence within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex NoSQL database solutions on Cloud platforms
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define system architecture and ensure seamless integration of NoSQL databases
- Stay current with emerging NoSQL database trends, tools, and best practices
- Contribute to the development of NoSQL database strategies and roadmaps

Required technical and professional expertise
- Extensive experience working with Apache Cassandra / DSE Datastax, Cassandra Admin, Cassandra Data Modelling, and CQLSH skills
- Masterful Linux Admin skills, preferably RH8 or at least RH7
- Strong Snow Knowledge and Incident / Change Management
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality NoSQL database solutions in a professional setting
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with database replication, clustering, and backup/recovery strategies
- Understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns
