In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Complex Programs Project Manager, you'll spearhead the strategic direction and oversight of our complex program initiatives, driving innovation and expertise within our organization. Responsibilities:

  • Shape and spearhead the complex program strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry trends
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex programs and solutions
  • Mentor and guide senior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define system architecture and ensure seamless integration of solutions
  • Oversee the development of program management strategies, roadmaps, and best practices

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Extensive experience in program management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2) and best practices
  • Masterful proficiency in using project management tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera, JIRA)
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality program management solutions in a professional setting
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including executives, project teams, and clients
  • Ability to build consensus, manage expectations, and facilitate decision-making processes
  • Strong risk identification, analysis, and mitigation skills
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and tools
  • Proficiency in resource allocation, capacity planning, and leveling
  • Experience in managing resource conflicts and trade-offs across multiple projects
