Job Overview Delivery Manager – Healthcare Sector at IBM Consulting UK FutureNow. You will support IBM’s healthcare and public sector accounts, leading cross‑functional teams to deliver complex application development and maintenance projects. You will manage project scope, cost and timelines while ensuring outcomes meet business, contractual and government standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end project planning, execution and delivery within defined scope, cost and timelines for IBM client accounts.
  • Manage cross‑functional teams, including IBM colleagues, healthcare and public sector client teams, and third‑party suppliers.
  • Oversee delivery and enhancement of digital services, ensuring alignment with Government Digital Service standards and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, controls and ways of working across IBM’s public sector and healthcare projects.
  • Ensure compliance with government and regulatory requirements, providing guidance on risk, governance and service assurance.

Qualifications

  • No formal education requirement; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and governance.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Experience delivering system and process improvement projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Analytical mindset with focus on quality and compliance.
  • Background in financial or compliance‑led system development (preferred).
  • Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery models (preferred).
  • Knowledge of risk systems and bureau‑based relationship management (preferred).
  • Familiarity with automated credit systems and retail banking operations (preferred).
  • Industry‑standard project management certifications such as PMI‑PMP (preferred).
  • Potential requirement for baseline personnel security screening (BPSS) and national security vetting (NVS).
  • The role may require meeting eligibility for Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
