Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Technical Consultant experienced in application development on IBM Mainframe and modern platforms such as Linux or Windows. The role involves testing and troubleshooting issues from migrating Mainframe applications from COBOL to Micro Focus COBOL. Knowledge of JCL and CICS is required; familiarity with IDMS, ADS, MQ, or DB2 is advantageous. Experience with Assembler is a plus but not essential.

Bachelor\’s Degree

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10+ years of IBM mainframe application or system development experience
• Strong COBOL programming and debugging skills
• Knowledge of database design and implementation (DB2, IDMS, SQL Server, Oracle)
• Familiarity with JCL, CICS, MQ, DB2, IDMS, SQL Server, or Micro Focus COBOL
• Experience with Windows and Linux development and deployment

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Assembler experience is an advantage
• Willingness to learn and deploy new skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
• Well-presented with good interpersonal skills
• Comfortable in a customer-facing role
