In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Responsibilities
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to support the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform.
- Design and develop advanced Salesforce solutions to meet defined business and technical requirements.
- Configure and customise Salesforce to support public-sector processes and service needs.
- Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring reliable and secure system performance.
- Work closely with senior developers, architects, and project teams to deliver work on time and within scope.
- Stay informed about new Salesforce features, platform updates, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
Education
- Required: None
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Extensive experience working with Salesforce, strong focus on Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including data models, workflows, and business processes.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Apex, and SOQL.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and systems.
- Experience with Salesforce configuration, including setup, customisation, and integration.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
