In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. You will support IBM’s Public Sector and Defence projects by leading cloud development initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- System Design: Architect, develop, and maintain secure, scalable cloud applications using full‑stack technologies aligned with the needs of IBM’s Public Sector and Defence clients.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior and mid‑level developers, promoting a culture of innovation, quality, and technical excellence.
- Problem‑Solving: Oversee the resolution of complex technical challenges, applying deep expertise in full‑stack cloud development to mission‑critical environments.
- Continuous Improvement: Enhance development practices and processes, ensuring they meet industry standards and IBM delivery expectations.
- Technical Vision: Influence and shape the technical direction of cloud application development within the Public Sector and Defence portfolio.
- Project Leadership: Lead smaller projects end‑to‑end, from architecture and design through deployment, demonstrating strong technical and project leadership.
- Mentorship: Support the growth of Junior Developers through ongoing coaching and knowledge sharing.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and services.
- Leadership: Proven leadership qualities, with a track record of managing teams and delivering projects.
- Problem‑Solving: Exceptional problem‑solving capabilities, with a history of effectively addressing and resolving complex engineering issues.
- Communication: Exemplary verbal and written communication skills to engage with team members, stakeholders, and upper management.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
- Hands‑on experience working with containerization platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of serverless architectures and microservices‑based application design.
- Familiarity with event‑driven systems and related design patterns.
- Solid knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience applying cloud security best practices across application and infrastructure layers.
Desirable Certifications:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
