In this role, you will work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your role and responsibilities:
We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of key technology projects across our organisation. In this role, you will work closely with clients, technical teams, and stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet contractual commitments and business needs, from application development and modernisation to cloud, cognitive, and analytics‑driven initiatives. You will oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure strong collaboration between technical and business teams. You may lead modernisation projects involving refactoring, containerisation, microservices, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, or OpenShift. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of initiatives—from application delivery to complex, multi‑vendor programmes—while shaping project direction, ensuring governance compliance, and building strong client relationships. It suits individuals who thrive on responsibility, clarity, structured delivery, and the challenge of coordinating diverse technical and business stakeholders. Required technical and professional expertise:
- Project planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource management
- Strong understanding of SDLC and application delivery
- Experience with Agile and traditional PM methodologies
- Cloud delivery experience (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, GCP, Red Hat OpenShift)
- Risk, issue, dependency and change management
- Vendor, subcontractor and cross‑functional team coordination
- Stakeholder engagement and communication planning
- Contractual and financial management, including cost controls and deliverables tracking
- Ability to manage complex or large‑scale projects and programmes
- Strong leadership, negotiation and facilitation skills
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
