Oracle Cloud Payroll Functional Consultant

Location: Hampshire, London, City of, Manchester, Leicester, United Kingdom

Work arrangement: Hybrid (Up to 80% or 4 days a week from home on weekends, based on project requirements)

At IBM Consulting UK FutureNow we’re looking for an experienced senior consultant to work within our Client Innovation Centers, delivering deep technical and industry expertise across the public and private sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all phases of the consulting lifecycle as a key project team member.
  • Play a customer‑facing role in Requirement Analysis, Business Process Documentation and Solution Design.
  • Support peers in developing, configuring and deploying solutions, ensuring project processes and deliverables are met.
  • Contribute to proposal development and demonstrate Oracle Cloud capabilities to potential customers.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on interface design, development and testing.

Qualifications

Required education: None

Preferred education: Bachelor’s Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Up to 10 years of functional experience delivering Oracle Payroll Cloud Applications.
  • Full Oracle Cloud Implementation cycles across multiple projects.
  • Experience in Solution Design, Requirements Analysis, Functional Design, Configuration, Documentation, Troubleshooting and Integration Architecture.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of configuring Oracle Payroll solutions: payroll elements, fast formula, pension schemes, absence schemes.
  • Strong client‑facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of UK payroll legislative requirements: PAYE, NI, Pensions Automatic Enrolment, Salary Sacrifice, statutory absence payments, RTI.
  • Proven full‑lifecycle implementation experience of Oracle based HCM solutions to medium and large enterprise clients.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience working with technical teams for interface design, development and testing.
  • Good domain knowledge of HCM and Payroll modules, including Absence and Time & Labour.
  • Leading project implementations and integration with on‑premise or other cloud applications.
  • Knowledge of broader Oracle Cloud functional areas (Finance, HCM and Payroll, SCM, CX, Logistics).
  • Knowledge of reporting and analytical tools within Oracle Cloud.
  • Experience in pre‑sales activities such as proposal contribution, proof of concepts and sandbox configuration for demonstrations.
