In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), delivering deep technical and industry expertise to clients worldwide. Our delivery centers provide locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure DevOps infrastructure and processes using modern tools and methodologies, tailored to defence, public sector, and national security projects.
- Ensure solutions meet stringent security, compliance, and accreditation requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials, or sector-specific standards).
- Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and efficiency in DevOps practices, with awareness of government and defence environments.
- Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges, applying deep expertise in DevOps and secure cloud solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in DevOps practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards, best practices, and government regulations.
- Shape the technical direction of DevOps initiatives and contribute to strategic decision-making for mission-critical systems.

- Proven experience in leading DevOps initiatives and projects.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack, Datadog).
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development
