This role is for someone passionate about defining and delivering solutions to business challenges, primarily in the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and Digital Engineering space. Working alongside experienced architects, you’ll define and deliver innovative solutions to overcome complex business needs. You will have detailed knowledge of architecting Siemens Teamcenter, an enterprise PLM application, and collaborate with Consultants and Solution Architects to translate client challenges into detailed designs. You will guide Application Consultants in configuring the application to ensure it’s fit for purpose and solves the client challenge.
Responsibilities
- Define and architect solutions for client Digital Engineering needs, both business and technical.
- Determine, create and maintain architectural documentation throughout all project phases.
- Design applications that may run on multiple platforms and be composed of multiple software packages, defining all components of the technical solution including data models, integrations, software configuration and associated system infrastructure.
- Perform critical evaluation and selection of software and hardware components of the application.
- Prepare for application development by evaluating and selecting development methodologies and tools.
- Ensure performance, availability and scalability of the applications, and maintain the functional interface to the application infrastructure.

- The ideal candidate will be employed as an Application Architect with experience in Digital Engineering projects.
- Demonstrable PLM solution delivery experience.
- Provide architectural options, alternatives, rationales, and recommendations/solution evaluations.
- Experience working in and contributing to successful client projects.
- Continually develop expertise and knowledge of client issues based on accumulated experience.
- Detailed architectural knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter.
- Create required governance architectural artifacts.
- Build and manage trusted relationships with client architects at all levels.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Perform analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Communicate articulately and effectively at all business levels.
- Excellent relationship building skills with clients and third parties.
- PLM skills and experience; deliver against Siemens Teamcenter architecture.
- Understanding of programming languages and technologies such as Java, VB, SQL, and HTML (beneficial).
- Understanding of migration and interface techniques and tools such as ETL and Enterprise Service Bus (beneficial).
