We're seeking a strategic communications professional with the right experience, expertise and enthusiasm to support executive and internal communications for IBM Consulting's Senior Vice President of Offerings & Growth and their organization at IBM. To be successful, you must come to work with a growth mindset; embrace collaborating with large cross‑company, multi‑disciplinary and global teams; and have the ability to translate complex concepts into content that engages, informs, and inspires audiences.

You will work closely with senior executives, Marketing and Communications colleagues, and the broader Consulting team to create content and experiences that engage external and internal audiences in our business strategy and market leadership in asset‑based consulting. You will be charged with providing employees and other audiences with the knowledge, information, and clear calls to action needed to work effectively and deliver business results, while also building their belief in and advocacy for the IBM brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Build communications strategies that reach intended audiences and directly advance objectives, while collaborating effectively and serving as a trusted advisor with partners, stakeholders and leadership.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the strategy and business goals of IBM and the Consulting organization.
  • Develop an understanding of the Consulting organization's audiences, the best channels to reach and influence them, and the resources and guidance needed to help them do their jobs and achieve their goals.
  • Align with IBM colleagues to design and deploy content and experiences that engage, inform and inspire audiences.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • At least 8‑10 years of professional experience.
  • Experience supporting a senior leader including developing high‑visibility strategic events and programs, keynote speeches, social media content and other internal and external content.
  • Ability to operate in complex environments – including effective collaboration with peers at the country, regional, and global levels, to help build, contribute to and execute communications plans.
  • Self‑starter who can work flexibly on projects across a wide range of communication topics.
  • Strong writing and creative storytelling capability with a passion for breaking down very complex topics into consumable, understandable, and applicable content, including bylines, visual presentations, client‑facing content and more.
  • Experience communicating in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Growth‑minded and willing to adjust ways of working and communication approaches based on current business needs and results.
  • Ability to identify and test potential uses for communication technology and tools to deliver against business objectives, and in measurement and analysis of resulting data to drive decision making.
  • Collaborative team player who is enthusiastic about partnering across IBM.
  • In‑office presence: minimum three days per week.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Experience working for an enterprise technology company and/or a global consultancy.
  • Understanding of complex technical topics and ability to teach others.
  • Fluency with various tools and approaches to communications – including digital publishing, design, video production, metrics, email tools and applying AI in communications.
