Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll use your deep technical expertise to design, build, and support secure, scalable infrastructure environments across both cloud and on-premise platforms. Working within a highly collaborative technical team, you'll play a key role in delivering resilient Linux-based infrastructure solutions that support mission-critical services for public sector and defence customers, ensuring compliance, security, and operational excellence across highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and support of secure AWS infrastructure platforms with a strong focus on Linux systems, enterprise infrastructure services, and cloud-native best practices




• Design and manage AWS services, and cloud-native best practices




• Design and manage AWS services including EC2, VPCs, IAM, Route53, CloudWatch, S3, EBS, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, and backup/recovery solutions in line with public sector and defence security requirements




• Manage and optimise Linux server environments, ensuring high availability, hardening, patching, performance, and compliance with security standards and operational policies




• Support and maintain core infrastructure technologies including networking, middleware, DNS, VPNs, monitoring, logging, and enterprise tooling




• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to integrate AWS infrastructure solutions into CI/CD pipelines and operational support models
