UX Designer

Introduction
In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centres (Delivery Centres), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your Role and Responsibilities
UX designers create user-centered experiences by crafting the foundational structure and information architecture for products, services, and systems. They play a pivotal role in delivering elements, interactions, and decisions that enhance the overall user experience.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

1. Interpreting research insights to gain a deep understanding of user needs and context.
2. Defining user experience goals and design principles.
3. Applying knowledge of psychological and physical attributes of humans (e.g., Hick’s Law, Fitt’s Law) to inform design decisions.
4. Designing the information architecture and functional structure of the user experience.
5. Designing the interaction patterns between functions/information and users/customers.
6. Designing navigation pathways within the experience, demonstrating an understanding of content, functionalities, and relationships within a system.
7. Supporting and designing for diverse user contexts such as accessibility, culture and environment.
8. Translating technical, operational, and functional constraints as part of user-centric design.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

1. Expertise in applying human-centered design principles and understanding user behaviour to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
2. Experience in the application of UX research methodologies, including user testing, surveys, and persona development.
3. Expertise in information architecture, usability principles, and interaction design.
4. Understanding of web and mobile technologies and their impact on user experience design.
5. Expertise in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, InVision).
