Your role and responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team. This role requires a proven background working in large-scale enterprise environments within the public sector supporting national security and public safety initiatives. The successful candidate will lead the analysis and documentation of complex business requirements and drive effective collaboration across senior stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, document, and analyze detailed business requirements across diverse stakeholder groups, ensuring clarity, alignment, and traceability.
  • Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and measurable outcomes in partnership with senior stakeholders and programme leadership.
  • Support and guide cross-functional teams in translating business needs into functional and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop business cases, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support solution design and decision-making.
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder meetings to enable effective collaboration, consensus-building, and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead impact assessments, gap analyses, and feasibility studies to inform strategic planning and solution options.
  • Champion best practices in business analysis, including requirements management, process optimisation, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood, validated, and delivered to a high standard.

Required technical and professional expertise:

  • Proven experience in business analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
