The Client Innovation Centre (CIC) is an innovative and exciting part of IBM, built to deliver high-value technical services to world-renowned clients. All employees work in a consultancy environment on a variety of projects across different sectors, enabling them to build their experience, skillset, and network.
As a Security Consultant Associate, you will help analyse business and technical requirements, support enterprise-wide access management processes, and advise clients on how to secure their most valuable data and IP. You will be part of a collaborative security team, learning fast and delivering value.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify security requirements and help design the right security solutions.
- Participate throughout the design cycle β from requirements and architecture through implementation.
- Support the development of secure processes, systems, and applications.
- Gain hands-on experience across different platforms, technologies, and security architectures.
- Learn and contribute to areas like access management, vulnerability analysis, and security operations.
Required technical and professional expertise:
- Familiarity with network design, network security, authentication, authorization, and encryption standards.
- Exposure to at least one security domain such as Identity & Access Management, Data Security, Infrastructure and Endpoint Security, or Security Strategy, Risk & Compliance.
- Understanding of security concepts across application development, mobile development, software engineering, and identity technologies.
- Experience or exposure to programming languages such as Java, Python, C/C++, Ruby, Go/Golang, Bash, or C#.
- Awareness of network security tools used for scanning, monitoring, intrusion detection, anomaly detection, and firewall management.

Eligibility Requirements:
All applicants must hold British Nationality, UK work permit or visa valid for a two-year period prior to applying along with at least 5 years UK residency and preferably 10 years. Unfortunately, we do not offer visa sponsorship and have no future plans to do so.
