Role Overview

  • Lead day-to-day maintenance operations across hotel infrastructure and equipment.
  • Deliver both reactive and proactive maintenance services.
  • Develop and manage planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Enhance operational effectiveness, reduce downtime, and improve project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Identify lifecycle deficiencies and contribute to capital budget planning.
  • Supervise maintenance works including repairs, installations, and alterations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement best practices for sustainable maintenance and energy reduction.
  • Collaborate on new business projects and assess maintenance impact.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programmes for FF&E and plant equipment.
  • Monitor and control maintenance budgets and invoices.
  • Prepare monthly energy reports and ensure hotel compliance.
  • Deliver and manage small-scale projects and lifecycle works.

Compliance & Safety

  • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments.
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies.

Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing maintenance team.
  • Set KPIs, review performance, and provide technical support.
  • Ensure alignment with the hotel’s People Strategy and complete staff reviews.

Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC systems.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance management.
  • Strong project management and budgeting skills (CAPEX & OPEX).
  • H&S trained with risk assessment experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; flexibility to travel as required.
