You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position and be in possession of a current work visa. In line with the requirements set by the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Contract: Full Time 169 hours/month

Responsibilities:

  • Prior experience in basic cooking methods like cutting of ingredients, grilling, frying and preparing various dishes.
  • Upkeeping cleanliness standards.
  • Prepare food items as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing wastage.
  • Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
  • Clean and maintain all equipment within the food production area. Focus on cross contamination.
  • Versatile in the kitchen, with experience supporting both culinary and kitchen porter duties.
  • Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedure.
  • Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management.
  • Service oriented with an eye for details.
  • Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team as well as work independently.

Qualifications:

  • Should be comfortable doing both Early Morning and evening shifts.
  • Flexible to work 5 days between Monday - Sunday.
  • Knowledge in Culinary department is preferred.
  • Should be able to multi-task.
  • Team Work.
  • Time Keeping.
