Job Description:
- Prior experience in basic cooking methods such as cutting, grilling, frying and preparing various dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness standards.
- Prepare food items as per standard recipe cards while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
- Apply necessary precautions with regard to hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Clean and maintain all equipment within the food production area, focusing on cross‑contamination.
- Versatile in the kitchen, with experience supporting both culinary and kitchen‑porter duties.
Other Responsibilities:
- Be well versed in hotel fire & life‑safety/emergency procedures.
- Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.
- Service‑oriented with an eye for details.
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
Qualifications:
- Comfortable working both early‑morning and evening shifts.
- Flexible to work 5 days between Monday and Sunday.
- Knowledge in the culinary department is preferred.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Excellent time‑keeping.
