Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes, including meat, fish, and vegetables, according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Wash, sanitise, and store dishes, pots, pans, and utensils to the highest standards.
- Assist with general kitchen porter duties, including waste disposal and equipment maintenance to support kitchen operations.
- Properly store and rotate food items to minimise waste and ensure freshness.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation and service.
- Assist in adjusting menu items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific dietary concerns.
- Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
- Ensure adequate supplies of clean utensils, crockery, and other kitchen equipment.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth operations.
