AN EVENING IN THE LIFE OF NIGHT AUDITOR AT OUR HOTEL
What you\’ll be doing…
- Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other charges
- Prepare end-of-day financial reports for management, ensuring accuracy in accounting records and resolving discrepancies
- Check in late arrivals, assist guests with any inquiries, and provide overnight front desk support, ensuring a seamless guest experience
- Conduct regular security checks throughout the hotel premises to ensure guest and property safety
- Collaborate with the front office and accounting teams to address any issues identified during the night audit
- Maintain clear communication with the day team by preparing handover notes and ensuring all relevant information is recorded
- Handle any emergency situations overnight, acting as the point of contact and coordinating with necessary departments
- Food handling and preparation
- Setting up breakfast buffet
- Preparing and serving alcohol/beverages in our 24-hour resident bar
- Keeping all areas clean and tidy during the night
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Previous experience in hospitality or finance roles, with an understanding of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in financial reconciliation
- Good communication skills and the ability to handle guest enquiries professionally
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with property management systems (PMS)
- Flexibility to work night shifts and the ability to remain focused and productive
