ibis Styles Barnsley is looking for an outgoing, dependable, welcoming Hotel Assistant to deliver an amazing first impression and ensure our guests want to come back time and again. We're adding to our team to help cover busy periods and need Guest Service Assistants on a casual basis, in return for a competitive salary of £12.71 per hour.
Personality and potential are top of our hiring wish list, but experience in a customer-facing hospitality job would be a big benefit. We need people who are open, welcoming and who know what great customer service looks like – the kind of person you'd like to meet after a long day of travelling! You could be serving guests in our bar and restaurant, pulling pints, taking orders and checking everything spick and span. As we're all one big team, you may also be checking guests in and out, answering questions and supporting them during their stay. You could be working a mix of midweek, weekend, early and late shifts for flexibility in your schedule would be a big advantage. As you'll be serving alcohol, we do require applicants to be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities- Serve guests, making them feel welcome, happy and ensuring they have a great stay.
- Serve food, drinks & wine, ensuring the restaurant & bar are clean and tidy and ready for next service.
- Work midweek and weekends, with a mix of breakfast and dinner shifts.
- People‑person with passion for customer service.
- Experience in hospitality or a customer‑facing role is an advantage.
- Minimum age 18; must be able to serve alcohol.
- Flexible schedule, including midweek, weekends, early and late shifts.
Compensation: National Minimum Wage of £10.85 per hour applies to those aged 18‑20. National Living Wage of £12.71 applies for those aged 21 and above.
