Job Description
Salesforce Environment Manager
We’re looking for an experienced Salesforce Environment Manager to join a Financial Services organisation who have embarked on a major transformation programme. Someone who thrives on creating structure, efficiency, and control across complex technical landscapes.
You’ll take ownership of multiple Salesforce environments, ensuring they run smoothly and securely across development, testing, and production. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, overseeing integrations, environments and data flows that keep enterprise systems running seamlessly.
This is a hands-on and collaborative role, working closely with delivery, DevOps, and architecture teams to streamline how environments are managed, refreshed, and used across projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and maintain all Salesforce environments (dev, test, staging, pre-prod, prod), ensuring they’re stable, secure, and ready when needed.
- Build and implement an environment management strategy to improve consistency and reduce conflicts across delivery teams.
- Oversee environment refreshes, access controls, and data integrity between environments.
- Coordinate integrations with related systems such as MuleSoft, SmartComm, Genesys and other cloud-based tools.
- Monitor performance and proactively identify issues before they affect delivery.
- Work with developers, testers, and DevOps to automate and optimise environment usage.
- Partner with stakeholders to manage priorities and communicate status clearly.
- Champion good practice around environment governance, compliance, and operational resilience.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing Salesforce environments within large or multi-org setups.
- Experience of Financial Services Cloud
- Good understanding of Salesforce platform configuration and architecture.
- Strong coordination skills and attention to detail in fast-moving delivery environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and automation tools (e.g. Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps).
- Confident working with multiple delivery teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Experience in a regulated industry or complex IT landscape is desirable.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to release management or deployment processes.
- Experience with test data management, masking, or compliance frameworks.
- Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform App Builder, or similar).
- Broader experience with cloud applications such as MuleSoft, Genesys, SmartComm.

Location: Hybrid – North West, near Leeds (approx. 2 days per week on site) There are a number of other offices in the South West, including London and Kent. If based in a Southern office, will need to travel occasionally to Leeds area. This is a Permanent position. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship and must be able to pass financial checks.
