We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global consulting firm for a Senior Manager, Operational Resilience to join their Reputation, Risk, Crisis and Resilience (RRCR) team within the Financial Services sector. This role focuses on helping some of the largest and most influential financial services organisations build resilience to strategic risks, issues, incidents, and crises. You will work with senior client executives and functional teams across a broad range of sub-sectors, providing subject matter advice on crisis and resilience services, leading complex client engagements, and driving commercial success.

What you'll do:

  • Support go-to-market and business development activity to grow account relationships and deliver commercial success.
  • Lead complex client engagements and delivery, including responsibility for contracts, budgets, and junior team members.
  • Deliver engagements to the highest quality, on time, on budget, and within established risk processes.
  • Provide subject matter advice to clients across the range of crisis and resilience services.
  • Lead client relationships across a portfolio of Financial Services organisations to build and enhance relationships and drive new opportunities.
  • Lead senior discussions with C-Suites and boards to raise awareness of crisis and resilience issues.
  • Develop new products and services, including digital and AI, to support offerings.
  • Build sector presence through innovation, eminence, and thought leadership.
  • Lead internal projects and fulfil key team roles to build the business sustainably.

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive knowledge of organisational resilience across multiple disciplines, including related regulations and evolving regulatory thinking in Financial Services.
  • Extensive knowledge of operational resilience and business continuity, with experience in large and complex financial services organisations.
  • Experience in some or all of: technology/digital resilience, third-party resilience, technology/AI-supported testing, cloud resilience, IT Service Continuity and Disaster Recovery, crisis management, contingency planning, scenario risk modelling, operational risk, enterprise risk management.
  • Track record of commercial success in Financial Services, with ability to scale and grow accounts and develop new relationships.
  • Comfortable presenting at all levels, with ability to articulate complex resilience concepts clearly and influence senior leaders (C-Suite and boards).
  • Ability to understand how strategy, purpose, and values shape resilience priorities and interpret financial implications of resilience investments.
  • Track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with external and internal senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in designing and leading testing, simulations, and exercises to refine resilience capabilities.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex organisations, their operating models, and interdependencies across systems, operations, and technology.
  • Ability to embed resilience principles into organisational systems and frameworks and integrate resilience metrics into dashboards.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented attitude with openness to learning and adaptability.
  • Willingness to travel according to client needs (including internationally) and work additional hours as project demands require.
