Flexible hybrid working

We are seeking a dedicated Scheduler to join our SP Transmission Planning Support team. The successful candidate will support the wider operations team with creation, updating & releasing of plant maintenance orders (PMOs) for all Transmission substation maintenance & inspections. They will raise purchase orders via framework, direct & SAP Ariba (ibuy).

This role also involves supporting the Transmission Planning Lead Engineer & Senior Engineer (Development) with quality management systems related to transmission maintenance activities. By ensuring all requirements for the successful delivery of the transmission maintenance program are available, you will contribute significantly to our Net Zero goals.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll assist in year ahead planning from a maintenance plan/PMO viewpoint.
  • Assist with creation, updating & releasing of all plant maintenance orders for transmission substation maintenance & inspection.
  • Raise framework purchase order for several framework contractors for maintenance & fault activities.
  • Ensure all completed plant maintenance orders have been TECO’d & Business closed during the year.
  • Liaise with the Transmission Engineering & Industrial scheduling outages changes and PMO/PO support.
  • Assist defect/fault activities by converting defects/faults to PMOs for all areas & integrating them into the work program will be key tasks.
  • Assist in delegated purchases on SAP Ariba (ibuy) & raising orders against STEPM budget using compatible units (CU).
  • Produce weekly and monthly management reports for the Transmission Field Operations Section and conduct safety, environmental, and quality audits on staff and contractors.
  • Provide administrative support for the Transmission monthly commercial slide pack with aged GRN & invoice reports.
  • Contribute as an effective team member of the Transmission Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Company Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements and working towards a zero-accident culture.

  • Familiarity with corporate IT systems related to the management of transmission plant and apparatus.
  • Strong planning and organising skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to operate at all levels of the business.
  • Working knowledge of Business IT systems, Energy Networks policies, procedures, and working practices.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Experience with purchase order and invoicing processes with SAP & SAP Ariba (ibuy).
  • Developed negotiation, communication, and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
