As a Trainee Drawing Office Technician, you’ll play an important role in supporting the design and delivery of vital energy infrastructure projects across our network. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you’ll gain hands-on experience in producing and maintaining technical drawings that help keep our projects on track.

What you’ll be doing
- You’ll support the creation and updating of technical drawings using industry-standard software, helping to ensure designs are accurate, consistent and aligned with project requirements.
- You’ll work closely with engineers and project teams to understand design changes and reflect these within drawings and documentation.
- You’ll assist in managing drawing records, maintaining version control and ensuring all documentation is stored accurately within our systems.
- You’ll develop an understanding of engineering standards, health and safety requirements, and how high-quality drawings support safe and efficient project delivery.
What you’ll bring
- A genuine interest in engineering, design or construction, and a keen desire to build a long-term career in a technical environment.
- Electrical or Civil Engineering HNC/HND preferred, Architectural / CAD considered.
- Driving Licence preferable.
- Detail-focused and methodical, able to plan your workload and manage your time effectively.
- Enjoy working as part of a team, communicating clearly and asking questions to support your learning and development.
