Help us create a better future, quicker. We’re looking for a Senior Vendor Manager to join our Digital Transformation team and take ownership of our strategic contracts and commercial governance across a global supplier landscape. This is a key role, responsible for ensuring our contracts are robust, compliant and commercially sound, while supporting the delivery of large-scale digital programmes and long-term business objectives.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll own the end-to-end lifecycle management of high-value, complex contracts, from contract strategy and negotiation through to ongoing administration, performance management and renewal.
- This includes leading contract renewals, variations and new agreements, ensuring terms are clear, enforceable and aligned to ScottishPower’s Digital Transformation department.
- Acting as a subject-matter expert in contract management, you’ll provide assurance across contractual frameworks, policies and controls.
- You’ll proactively identify and manage commercial risk, ensuring obligations, liabilities, service levels and change mechanisms are clearly governed and consistently applied.
- You’ll work closely with legal, procurement, finance and delivery teams to ensure our IT contracts support effective delivery while protecting ScottishPower’s commercial interests.
- This will include advising stakeholders on contractual interpretation, change control, dispute resolution and escalation, as well as supporting negotiations with strategic suppliers.
- You’ll also support the development of contract management maturity across the function, embedding best practice, improving consistency of approach and strengthening governance forums, reporting and controls across the contract portfolio.
What you'll bring:
- This role requires extensive experience in senior-level contract management, ideally within complex, multi-supplier or IT environments.
- You’ll bring strong commercial acumen, a detailed understanding of contract law principles, and proven experience managing high-value, strategically important contracts.
- You’ll be confident negotiating with senior supplier stakeholders, advising internal teams on contractual matters, and ensuring compliance with policies, governance and regulatory requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to balance commercial rigor with pragmatic delivery are essential.
What’s in it for you:
As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%. At ScottishPower, we believe it’s the little things we do in life that make a big difference.
