SCADA Engineer – CSS Technical Delivery Team

What you’ll be doing
Working as part of the Technical Delivery team, you’ll play a key role in the implementation and support of SCADA and control system solutions, contributing to the successful delivery of real-time systems across the network.
You’ll work under the guidance of Technical Leads and senior Engineers, supporting the design, configuration, integration, and testing of systems, ensuring solutions are delivered to a high standard and are operationally ready.
This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, providing an opportunity to develop your technical expertise while contributing to complex, safety-critical systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the configuration, integration, and enhancement of SCADA and control systems
Assist in translating business and operational requirements into technical solutions
Contribute to system design, implementation, and testing activities across the delivery lifecycle
Support the development of system displays, network models, and operational interfaces
Work closely with Technical Leads and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical outputs
Assist in troubleshooting technical issues, supporting root cause analysis and resolution
Ensure solutions meet quality, security, and governance standards
Participate in testing, commissioning, and transition into operational service
Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to support delivery activities
Maintain clear documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and standards
What you’ll bring
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience working with SCADA, ADMS, or similar control systems environments
Understanding of system integration, interfaces, and real-time data environments
Experience supporting technical delivery across design, configuration, or testing phases
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Good communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
Awareness of cyber security, testing, and change control practices
Minimum requirements
Technical qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline
Hands-on experience with SCADA or similar operational technology systems
Experience supporting delivery of control system or integration projects
Ability to work within structured technical and governance frameworks
