Help us create a better future, quicker. The EA Hub Asset Manager is a critical role in the O&M Department and sits within the UK Offshore Renewables Business, reporting to the Head of the UK Asset Management.
The prime responsibility of this role is to manage key external stakeholders; ensuring all obligations are tracked and fulfilled. The Hub Asset Manager will establish productive working relationships with key stakeholders to support the operations of the UK offshore assets. They will also manage the Operation and Maintenance Agreement (OMA) and ensure the delivery of contract obligations as Service Provider. They will be a lead point of contact towards partners and will lead the associated governance processes for the operational assets. As the projects in the current pipeline transfer out of construction into operational phase, the new entities and JV partner responsibilities will fall under this role.
The role will act as a focal point for requests for financial and operational data and will manage requests for information from within ScottishPower and Iberdrola. The EA Hub Manager is responsible for managing the UK O&M Hub reporting framework, preparing executive reporting packs and internal O&M performance and governance reporting. The role will maintain a watching brief of competitor activities and market developments to identify opportunities and threats to feed into Continuous Improvement Initiatives and Digital Improvement Projects.
What you’ll be doing:
- The role will act as the primary lead for external stakeholder engagement, ensuring all reporting obligations are delivered in accordance with agreed timelines and contractual requirements.
- This includes maintaining transparent reporting to joint-venture partners, overseeing compliance with Operations Management Agreements, negotiating OMA terms, and managing associated commercial activities to maximise the value of ScottishPower’s offshore assets.
- The postholder will lead and develop a dedicated team to ensure all operational, financial and non-financial obligations are met to a consistently high standard.
- Working collaboratively with the wider Asset Management function and the UK O&M Hub, the role will coordinate monthly reporting for senior leadership, ensure consistent communication across departments, and maintain strong internal and external relationships to support effective governance and decision-making.
- In addition, the role will oversee strategic resource planning across the UK Hub, including FTE analysis, recruitment reporting, and supporting budget development for various economic models.
- Responsibilities include reviewing PPA contracts for operational feasibility, managing the UK Hub Stakeholder Map, and representing the organisation through travel across the UK and Europe to attend meetings and site visits.
What you’ll bring:
- Degree level qualification.
- Previous experience working within the offshore wind sector, with a general appreciation of the construction and operational phases, and transition between both.
- Strong understanding of financial, commercial, and business principles and risk mitigation practices.
- Significant experience in managing and developing stakeholder relationships.
- Pro-active person who anticipates issues and problems and puts into place effective strategies to manage these.
- Delivery focus and resilience to deal with the continually changing demands and time-pressures of the role.
- Sound relationship management skills and confidence working with Senior Management and Directors, both internally and externally.
- Strong influencing, interpersonal and change management skills.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills at all levels – verbal and written.
- Fluent in English.
- IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems.
- Ability to combine professional and commercial expertise and co-ordinate the skills of others to achieve successful results.
