The role of the Commercial Analyst sits within SPD Energy Networks (Commercial & Performance), reporting to the Commercial Lead.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, complete ad-hoc tasks and maintain a high level of accuracy. You will liaise with suppliers, various stakeholders across SP Energy Networks and other analysts within the Team. You will use various systems to interrogate data and produce user-friendly reports that can be used to take positive action. You will also provide support to the Commercial Lead in maintaining strong commercial control of the overall performance of SPD Energy Networks business to allow efficient and effective operation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Use a variety of systems to extract data, organise and perform statistical analysis and convert into easy-to-read formats
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
- Manage any ad-hoc requests in a timely manner and complete project work as and when necessary (e.g. value add activity)
- Write Local Working Procedures for all tasks so that the documentation can be used by others in the team
- Maintain SPD Commercial Team mailbox ensuring emails are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner
- Review Statements of Accounts for all suppliers on a monthly basis
- Support the Districts on use of SAP and various business processes
- Contribute as a member of the SPD Energy Networks business to ensure our overall business objectives are met
- Take responsibility for your own personal development
