Role
Support the Lead PM, Project Development/Delivery Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Project Teams, responsible for providing support for the development and delivery of SP Energy Networks Transmission projects portfolio. The role holder will work alongside project managers in development and delivery and Quantity Surveyors to assist with key project management responsibilities including financial administration as well as supporting the onboarding and training of new staff in key systems. You will become a recognised super user of financial operations, commercial, and procurement systems (SAP PM, PPM, iBuy & Contract Management System (CMS)).
What you will be doing
- Raising purchase requisitions/orders and calling off framework contracts.
- Lead SAP Project Management training for SPT Project staff as required.
- Maintain SAP Project Management User Guides.
- Assist Team Members in updating financial forecasts, completing monthly accruals and receipting invoices.
- Raising and populating sourcing requests on procurement systems (iBuy) for Shared Services/Networks tenders.
- Generate Actual/Commitments reports from SAP.
- Monthly audit of actuals vs forecast.
- Responsible as business expert for SAP PM to ensure users have an available point of reference for system & process issues.
- Responsible for delegated purchasing process within SPT Projects.
- Responsible for direct payment process for legal, wayleaves etc.
- Financial breakdowns/reconciliations of projects and individual contracts.
- Weekly drop-in sessions for SAP PM/Delegated purchasing.
- Project Manager onboarding (IT Setup/SAP Overview) sessions.
- Project setup activities in various systems.
What you will bring
We are looking for individuals with good inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with other individuals, departments and businesses. To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:
- Significant experience of SAP/NAMS/PM/PPM systems.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
- High degree of IT literacy.
- Strong communication skills.
Minimum Requirements:
To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate as a minimum:
- HND or equivalent in business discipline/related area and/or relevant experience.
- Experience in a financial role for major construction or utility construction projects.
