  • Monitor performance against budgets, identifying opportunities to drive efficiency and enhance commercial outcomes.
  • Oversee all Regulatory Reporting submissions to Ofgem, ensuring accuracy, compliance and robust cost/volume justification.
  • Assess financial risks, sensitivities and future year impacts, ensuring clear visibility of performance against business targets.
  • Drive improvements in cost management, strengthening controls and optimising processes wherever possible.
  • Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, including cost allocations, process integrity and audit readiness.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing team of analysts, ensuring capability, motivation and delivery.
  • Manage recruitment, performance, absence and other people processes effectively.

What you will bring

We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, expert knowledge of financial and regulatory practices, and a proven ability to influence and drive change. You will be confident making high-level decisions, managing complex reporting requirements, and motivating teams to deliver results.

Essential

  • Ability to interpret large volumes of complex, interconnected data and translate it into meaningful recommendations.
  • Confident decision maker, able to prioritise and deliver under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence at multiple levels.
  • Expert user of financial and reporting systems.
  • Proven ability to challenge, innovate and develop creative solutions.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Ofgem regulatory environment or utilities sector (but not essential).
  • Experience managing teams in a fast paced, commercially focused environment.

  • Options to purchase dental insurance, private medical insurance, health cash plan and annual health assessments
