This role is responsible for managing IT Programme Management Office (PMO) to support Digital Transformation in ensuring the delivery of a multi-million Capital Investment Programme and Business objectives and initiatives. The role will assume direct responsibility for all executive information and reporting, ensuring best practice in project management and management of project service contract.
What you'll be doing- Lead Business Transformation in focusing on continual improvement in terms of Customer Satisfaction, value added programme delivery and strategic key performance indicators as determined by Global IT management team.
- Lead the delivery of the PMO strategy and provide support to the Digital Transformation Directors and Leadership team in achieving their goals.
- Support internal and external project managers to ensure deliverables are achieved through continual training and mentoring throughout the project life cycle.
- Provide support and monitor delivery of Global Strategic Programmes attending Global IT executive meetings and providing support and direction to the Global Programme Office.
- Implement various Governance Forums across IT ensuring all IT expenditure on applications and infrastructure aligns to strategy, has appropriate business case review and the senior stakeholders across the Business are in agreement of the IT solution delivering optimal value at lowest cost.
- Manage and work with the Digital Transformation Directors and Leadership team to create a single project pipeline of demand for investments prioritised by business value.
- Manage a demand management process which utilises resource requirement, planning, and financial forecasting using PPM technology, to enable efficient use of resources and deliver cost efficiencies.
- Develop and implement Global project management tools and methods to support the delivery of the project demand within time and budget that are capable of external benchmark.
- Act as the single point of accountability for reporting deviations to plan, risks or issues and take appropriate action with senior management team to deliver to plan.
- Deliver various Strategic Initiatives.
- Track and monitor the delivery of a multi-million capital investment programme.
- Understand the requirements of the IT project portfolio on-going at any one time, to provide effective support, advice and direction to internal and external project managers.
- Indirect management of internal and external project managers including management of £5m project services contract.
- Proven experience in managing a Programme Management Office, using leading methodologies and processes, and solutions.
- Proven understanding of key business drivers across IT within the context of the UK utilities commercial environment and the wider Iberdrola Group.
- Ability to proactively identify and exploit cross-business synergies within IT and thereafter co-ordinate with Iberdrola colleagues across the wider Iberdrola Group.
- Previous experience of managing project reporting and control, business planning and budgetary control processes.
- Proven leadership, management and interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to take account of broader business perspectives, interpret how these impact the programmes and objectives and define the appropriate actions or mitigation to be taken.
- Strong planning and co-ordination skills over a long-term time horizon.
- The ability to co-ordinate programme reporting information from large teams.
- Project/Programme Management experience.
- Commercial awareness and experience.
