Role
This is a critical, professional, specialised role which requires key business skills and knowledge in both the contracts and the finance areas. The key purpose of the role is to manage the SPEN Cyber teams’ commercial relationships with its IT suppliers. SPEN Cyber will have a significant number of contracts as we start to deliver the requirements set out in the RIIOT3 and ED2 re-opener allowances.
What you’ll be doing
- Create and maintain contracts repository and associated reporting.
- Organising the contract portfolio, planning ahead for contract renewals and putting in place new contracts.
- Administer the purchasing processes (SAP, IBuy, SAPRE, Service Now PPM).
- Feed into the Annual budgeting and forecasting process to ensure committed contracts are within the submissions.
- Supporting contract owners to negotiate costs.
- Proactively engaging stakeholders to ensure renewals are timely.
- Be the key contact between the SPEN Cyber contract owners and Procurement, Legal, Control & Data Protection to ensure contracts progress in a timely manner through the approval processes.
- Framework management to ensure appropriate use of contract frameworks, Strategic frameworks use rather than single source and where necessary drive forward framework extensions.
- Feed into the long-term outlook process.
What you’ll bring
- Degree educated and/or with relevant professional accounting qualifications.
- The ability to produce accurate analysis and reporting under significant time and workload pressure.
- Computer literate with significant experience and expertise in the use of spreadsheets for reporting and modelling.
- An ability to communicate (both verbally and in written form) at management level, up to and including Director level.
Minimum Criteria
- Degree educated and/or with relevant professional qualifications.
- Excellent track record in reporting/analysis to senior stakeholders.
- Computer literate with significant experience and expertise in contract management and the use of spreadsheets for reporting and modelling.
