Our Corporate function is responsible for providing support services for all other ScottishPower businesses. We know people are central to building a better future, quicker and we are seeking new talent to join our team. The daily operation of IT Systems is critical for all ScottishPower business systems and services. This role is responsible for the hands-on management & delivery of key processes following ITIL best practices and Global standards for Service Desk Operation, Request Management, Change Management, Incident Management, Configuration Management, Problem management, and Reporting.
What you’ll be doing
Working with user communities and business stakeholders across our business, you’ll establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across UK & Global departments. Delivering continuous improvement across our services, a key part of this role is building relationships with key global suppliers, ensuring our Operational Support services remain high quality and are delivered in line with our standard methodologies and frameworks. You’ll be actively engaged in the defining, reviewing and evolving of the Global Operational Services. You will work directly with Business Centres of Excellence to deliver excellent customer experiences. You will be responsible for liaising with all organisational levels across Scottish Power Businesses.
What you’ll bring
- Proven success in IT service management, including IT service delivery, IT operations, and service improvement.
- Proven experience in CMDB Modelling & Configuration Management.
- Strong understanding of IT control procedures, particularly those governing change, incident, request, asset, and configuration management.
- Experience in defining service metrics & KPIs.
- Experience in Continuous Service Improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and manage expectations at all organisational levels.
- Knowledge of project governance processes.
- Strong experience in team leadership, with the ability to supervise internal analysts. Accountability for assignment and progression of daily tasks.
- Experience of ITIL processes (ITIL V3/ V4 Foundation Certified as a minimum).
- Knowledge of ServiceNow toolset, with a proven track record of delivering through IT Service Management platforms.
