About the Role – Customer Service Representative, within Faults & Emergencies Team

When customers call with a fault, outage or urgent issue, you’re the first person they speak to. Your ability to stay calm, reassure people, and take control makes a real impact — especially during storms and high-pressure events.

This role suits people who:

In between calls, you’ll complete infill work to help keep everything running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls calmly and professionally
  • Reassuring customers and accurately logging incidents across multiple systems
  • Providing updates and coordinating with engineers
  • Supporting vulnerable customers with extra care
  • Making proactive wellbeing calls when needed
  • Completing infill tasks between emergency calls

Shift Patterns

Full-Time Roles

Our full-time shift pattern offers 4 day working weeks, giving you significantly more time off than traditional shift patterns. You will work on a 10-week rotation, with your shifts changing, encompassing some earlier shifts and some ending at midnight — all within a stable cycle you can plan around.

Part-Time Roles (Weekend-Only or Evenings and Weekends)

If you prefer a focused schedule, we also offer weekend-only part-time roles, as well as patterns which include evenings and weekends, ideal for those who want consistency with specific requirements.

Location

The Customer Service Representative roles are based at our modern purpose-built Scottish Power HQ at 320 Saint Vincent Street, G2 5AD.
