Purpose

The Strategic Projects team within SP Energy Networks is embarking on a programme of reinforcement works in excess of £5.4 billion over the next 5 to 10 years. The digitisation and organisation of information from early design stages to commissioning will be key to the successful delivery of projects. The adoption of new technologies such as BIM and common data models will be key to ensuring projects are developed and commissioned efficiently and collaboratively.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to be at the forefront of innovation as BIM Project Manager as you will enable the business to implement BIM technologies and processes for the design and construction of SP Transmission's infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Driving the implementation of processes and technologies through the life cycle of projects, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 19650 and internal and external procedures.
  • Setting internal processes and procedures for the implementation of BIM, liaising with suppliers and the wider industry to ensure the continual improvement of technology implementation.
  • Streamlining the utilisation of data, ensuring all stakeholders are working to the same models and design to significantly reduce risk, re-work or modification to projects.
  • Involving Common Data Environment management, assisting Project Managers to utilise BIM technologies and lead design clash resolution meetings.
  • Liaising with clients and subcontractors regarding information exchanges and coordination, taking ownership of the Master/Task Team information delivery plan.

  • Experienced in project delivery, managing delivery of changes across business teams and services.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management abilities, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, understanding the fundamental principles and utilisation of a Common Data environment.
  • Familiar with planning work delivery, stakeholder communications and change management.
