Location: East Anglia Offshore Windfarm, Lowestoft. NR32 1XH

Salary dependent on experience with up to 10% Annual Bonus and Single Person Healthcare + Shift allowance + £100 per night SOV payment. Permanent Rotation - 2 weeks on 2 weeks off based on SOV.

With over 40 operational windfarms we manage all of our sites through our world leading Control Centre at Whitelee Windfarm, near Glasgow.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and implementing ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) safety culture and values, maximising Offshore H&S performance through strict adherence to and application of IBRO HVSRs.
  • Gaining Senior Authorised Person authorisation up to 220KV under the IBRO ESRs.
  • Ensuring optimum availability of the site through effective outage planning and management which minimises the duration of any outages.
  • Managing the authorisation process of Competent Persons under the IBR HVSRs whilst performing the role of SAP at voltages between 66kV and 220 kV (future projects could extend to 400kV).
  • Preparing switching schedules for maintenance tasks, installation work, fault location and repair where required whilst keeping records on daily activities and performance of Subcontractors.
  • Organising and executing HV switching, isolation, earthing, identification of the point of work and issue of safety documentation duties on HV networks up to 220kV (future projects could extend to 400kV).
  • Performing site risk assessments, reviewing third party Contractor risk assessments and method statements, ensuring these are comprehensive and fulfil necessary requirements.
  • Supervising and monitoring the performance of equipment OEM’s and other Contractors for electrical maintenance equipment.
  • Preparing periodic maintenance reports of serviced assets to highlight performance trends, identifying issues and making recommendations on corrective actions.
  • Supporting the Deputy Site Manager in the management of electrical equipment service and maintenance Contractors.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) under safety rules of a DNO/NGET/Power Generating company or equivalent.
  • Experience in HV Electrical Maintenance from the Offshore Wind industry or an industry with similar operational and safety challenges.
  • Practical experience of asset management of industrial HV and LV systems, including resource planning and maintenance project delivery.
  • Working knowledge of SCADA systems.
  • Willingness to work at heights and work Offshore with a good level of physical fitness.
  • Ability to transit Offshore via marine transfer without suffering from sea/travel sickness.
  • Flexible approach to working hours in order to ensure the delivery of planned and unplanned activities.
  • Ability to attend site out with normal working hours to respond to any emergency situations.
