What you’ll be doing- To lead and coordinate substation inspectors, generator technicians, and contractors in delivering inspections, maintenance, and repairs safely, on time, and within budget, while ensuring compliance with company standards and performance targets.
- Contribute as an effective member of the Transmission Network Operations management team, supporting strategic and operational objectives.
- Continuously review procedures and processes to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Support the delivery of the department’s work programme, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Lead and support team performance management, conducting regular reviews and identifying and progressing development opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external service providers within Energy Networks to ensure successful delivery of business objectives.
- Always deliver and uphold gold-standard customer service.
- Analyse and interpret information presented in a variety of formats, demonstrating strong comprehension and adaptability.
- Perform analysis on business performance data to support informed management decision-making.
- Translate analysis outcomes into actionable insights, ensuring appropriate escalation, recommendation, or implementation based on business impact.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation in financial, technical, and business contexts.
- Proven ability to manage programmes of work within budget, while maintaining high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and quality.
- Excellent analytical, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of statutory regulations, including the Electricity Supply, Quality and Continuity Regulations (ESQCR).
- Good understanding of relevant company policies and governance frameworks.
- Exceptional customer relationship skills, aligned to delivering gold-standard service.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, while developing, coaching, and mentoring others where required.
- Educated to HND level (or demonstratable equivalent experience).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a relevant operational or technical environment.
