What you’ll be doing
- Leading and implementing ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) safety culture and values, maximising Offshore H&S performance through strict adherence to and application of IBRO HVSRs, you will gain Senior Authorised Person authorisation up to 220KV under the IBRO ESRs.
- Ensuring optimum availability of the site through effective outage planning and management which minimises the duration of any outages, you will be required to manage the authorisation process of Competent Persons under the IBR HVSRs whilst performing the role of SAP at voltages between 66kV and 220 kV (future projects could extend to 400kV).
- Ensuring that local management instructions, relevant codes of practice and the HVSRs are implemented, you will be required to prepare switching schedules for maintenance tasks, installation work, fault location and repair where required whilst keeping records on daily activities and performance of Subcontractors.
- Organising and executing HV switching, isolation, earthing, identification of the point of work and issue of safety documentation duties on HV networks up to 220kV (future projects could extend to 400kV), you will perform site risk assessments, review third party Contractor risk assessments and method statements, ensuring these are comprehensive and fulfil necessary requirements.
- Supervising and monitoring the performance of equipment OEM’s and other Contractors for electrical maintenance equipment, you will also be required to prepare periodic maintenance reports of serviced assets to highlight performance trends, identifying issues and making recommendations on corrective actions and support the Deputy Site Manager in the management of electrical equipment service and maintenance Contractors.
What you’ll bring
- As Senior Authorised Person (SAP) under safety rules of a DNO/NGET/Power Generating company or equivalent, you will possess experience in HV Electrical Maintenance from the Offshore Wind industry or an industry with similar operational and safety challenges.
- Experienced SAP / AP 33kV, you will have practical experience of asset management of industrial HV and LV systems, including resource planning and maintenance project delivery.
- With a working knowledge of SCADA systems, you will also possess a willingness to work at heights and work Offshore with a good level of physical fitness.
- Travelling within the UK and Europe on occasion, necessitating overnight stays, you will have the ability to transit Offshore via marine transfer without suffering from sea/travel sickness and possess a flexible approach to working hours in order to ensure the delivery of planned and unplanned activities.
- Additionally, you will be able to attend site out with normal working hours to respond to any emergency situations.
