Permanent, Full Time

Help us create a better future, quicker. ScottishPower Renewables is expanding its Solution & Security Architecture team and is looking for experienced architects to help shape the future of secure, sustainable energy. Based in Glasgow with hybrid flexibility, this role sits at the intersection of cyber security and critical national infrastructure—where the impact is real and the work truly matters.

What you’ll be doing

This is an opportunity to influence how technology is designed, deployed and operated from day one. You won’t be working on the sidelines; you’ll play a central role in embedding secure-by-design principles across both IT and OT environments, while helping drive a broader cultural shift where security and architecture become shared responsibilities. Whether your strengths lie in engineering, consulting, or infrastructure, you’ll have the flexibility to focus on what you do best. From evolving security tooling and capabilities, to advising on complex programmes and shaping solution design, or building resilient, secure infrastructure foundations—your work will directly support the systems that power renewable energy. You’ll collaborate with delivery teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders to design secure solutions, influence key decisions, and translate regulatory requirements into practical outcomes. This is a role where your judgement, communication, and ability to drive change will matter just as much as your technical expertise.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for architects who bring strong experience across solution, security, or infrastructure domains, along with a pragmatic mindset and the confidence to operate across both technical and business environments. Familiarity with frameworks such as NIS CAF, ISO or NIST, and an understanding of modern threat landscapes, will set you up for success. In return, you’ll gain exposure across critical infrastructure, renewable energy systems, and the wider Iberdrola Group, with the opportunity to shape a growing capability and make a tangible impact. If you’re looking for a role where cyber security and architecture are taken seriously—and where your work contributes to something bigger—this is your opportunity to be part of it.

What’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%. At ScottishPower, we believe it’s the little things we do in life that make a big difference. From helping you look after your family’s wellbeing, save for your future and take personal steps for climate action – our benefits are designed to help you do just that - so that you have everything you need to take care of your world – today and tomorrow. That’s why our benefits include:

  • 36 days annual leave
  • Holiday purchase – perfect your work/life balance with extra annual leave
  • Share Incentive Plan and Sharesave Scheme
  • Payroll giving and charity matched funding
  • Technology Vouchers – save more and spread the cost of your technology purchases
  • Count us in – pledge to reduce carbon emissions and help fight climate change
  • Electric Vehicle Schemes – to help you transition to green/clean driving
  • Cycle to Work scheme and public transport season ticket loans
  • Options to purchase dental insurance, private medical insurance, health cash plan and annual health assessments
  • Life Assurance (4x salary)
  • Access to ‘nudge’ financial wellbeing support
  • Plus shopping, leisure, restaurant and gym discounts, and unique employee deals on travel insurance and more
