The Senior Marketing Manager will report to the Senior Manager, B2B Marketing and will have 2 Direct Reports. The Senior Marketing Manager is expected to contribute to the wider strategic debate within Marketing, lead on high profile campaigns/strategic projects and present themselves as the lead Marketing contact to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing
- Play an active part in setting the strategic direction for the Business Marketing team, acting as an agent for change and a point of innovation and creativity.
- Build effective business cases for marketing developments i.e. campaigns/partnerships etc which demonstrate ROI for marketing spend.
- Lead on high profile campaigns and strategic initiatives aimed at driving engagement from new and existing customers and maximising acquisition and retention whilst projecting key Energy Retail brand values.
- Assume responsibility for overall delivery from partnerships in terms of KPIs including value to our base and external perception of ScottishPower.
- Manage the full creative development process with external Marketing agencies, ensuring all internal stakeholders are managed effectively.
- Develop and manage an integrated multi-channel contact strategy for business customers including regulatory communications, in life communications and a PR/Social plan to improve retention.
- Optimise the efficiency and cost effectiveness of all marketing activity by implementing reporting and evaluation processes.
- Work closely with the Digital team to maximise the effective promotion of ScottishPower’s Business propositions.
- Gain a detailed understanding of competitor on and offline marketing strategies.
- Deputise for the Senior Manager – SME Marketing and represent the Team as a marketing expert.
What you’ll bring
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience of leading cross business project teams.
- Proven track record of delivery in Marketing essential.
- Experience of running BTL Marketing Campaigns essential.
- Experience of managing external partnerships is essential.
- Experience of communicating and influencing at a senior level.
- Numerate and analytical.
- PC Literate.
Minimum Criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
- Numerate and analytical with experience of running high profile/high volume integrated marketing campaigns.
- An excellent communicator with a naturally creative and strategic outlook.
- Experience of communicating, presenting and stakeholder management at a senior level.
- Demonstrable experience of strong budgetary control.
